Movember - One Moustache at a Time

on Nov 04, 2014

If by the end of November, you see a lot of men with funny & weird moustaches don't worry! Just stop them and ask for their Movember story.

Before you craft fancy stories about Movember, let us tell you what it really is.

Movember also known as 'No Shave November', is a campaign to spread awareness about prostate cancer. The challenge is for men around the world to grow their moustaches during the month of November.

The campaign was started back in 2003 in Australia by a couple of men having beer, trying to bring back the moustache fashion. It was later in 2004, that Adam Garone, co-founder of Movember, thought of associating it to raise awareness about men’s health and also raise money for prostate cancer research programs around the world.

The Movember community has raised USD $559 million to date and funded over 800 programs in 21 countries and not to forget the 4 million moustaches that have been grown worldwide!

Movember has today become a global movement just like the October Pink Month. This movement was a huge success last year in US, UK, Canada & Australia and this time it has swept Indian men too making them Mo-bros.

Fancy being a Mo bro, do you? Well then, here are 4 simple rules of the challenge:

1. Register at movember.com & start the month of November with a clean shaven face.

2. For the entire month of November each Mo-bro must grow and groom a moustache.

3. No beards or goatees or fake moustaches are allowed.

4. Lead the conversations starting with your moustache to creating awareness for prostate and testicular cancer.

So take up the challenge to be a true Mobro & be a part of a movement you'll be proud of forever. Don't forget to post us your Mo-Pic! :)
