A DASH OF PROTEST WITH A #KissOfLove

on Nov 03, 2014

Why do Indians get bothered by two people kissing in public? How bad can a hug or a peck on a cheek between two people who like each other be?

We live in a society where talking about boyfriends and girlfriends is a strict no, no.. let alone the topics of sex and virginity! But with highest literacy rates, Kerala was least expected to show such prudish behaviour. We can go on and on discussing how wrong it was for an activist group to vandalize the café last week saying that the students were using the place to date.

The only thing we could come up after reading the news was - Are you serious?*(*No, Robert Vadra did not influence us!)

Let's see what the twitteratis had to say about it!

Although the on ground activity was a flop, the social media furore will definitely be long lived! The protest was not to stand in public and kiss each other. It was to deny the need of moral policing in the 21st century. So, we ask you, how does kissing someone you love question your morals?
