The Doon School, India’s most prestigious boarding school, wanted to create a unique, nostalgic experience for its alumni while raising funds for its iconic MPH Theatre. The idea: allow alumni to sponsor individual seats that would carry their names and personal messages carved into them. The challenge was to design and build a seat selection and payment platform that could manage categories, pricing, customization, and real-time booking - all while ensuring a seamless user experience.
Alumni don’t just donate to institutions - they invest in legacy and memory. By turning theatre seats into personalized mementos, Doon School could transform fundraising into a deeply emotional act of belonging. The platform needed to blend the sentiment of nostalgia with the precision of e-commerce technology.
