The current Government is known to take big initiatives like Make in India, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Invest India et al. They are also known to adopt digital media for creating a larger share of voice. The next big initiative that they are undertaking is World Food India, a global event by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries to facilitate partnerships between Indian and foreign businesses and investors.

Think about this: Have you ever seen an Indian denying Pakistani Kebabs or an Israeli denying Lebanese Falafel? That’s because food is a global connector. It is the universal bonding agent that brings people together. If you think about it, we are divided by country boundaries but united by food! Whether it is colleagues sharing a meal together, a family reunion or a diplomatic dinner, food induces a sense of belongingness.

When we heard that MoFPI and CII are undertaking this initiative called World Food India 2017 to provide a favourable environment for businesses to flourish in the food processing sector, our first thought was – ‘India is the largest consumer and the largest producer. So, if we can produce and consume, then why not process?!’ It made absolute sense to partner with the Government and help them leverage digital media to gain visibility.

There is phenomenal enthusiasm about this event worldwide. On 6th March, Hon’ble Union Minister, Harsimrat Kaur Badal launched the website for the event (www.worldfoodindia.in) and chaired sessions with state ministers and foreign ambassadors. With a 50K+ community on Facebook, varied conversations amongst influencers and investors across countries on Twitter, World Food India 2017 is set to become the largest gathering of investors, manufacturers, producers, food processors, policy makers and organizations around the food ecosystem globally.

The three-day extravaganza to be hosted in New Delhi from 3rd to 5th November 2017 will put India on the global map in the food processing industry. The event will bring together global and Indian leaders across the food value chain on one platform. The gala event will also provide opportunities for networking and collaborations. To get more updates about the event, follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

As the digital media partners, we are all set to become the pillar of this transformation and create roaring success for the initiative. Watch out for some epic campaigns in the months to come.
