Couple of weeks back I was in Singapore speaking at SMX Singapore on “SEO and Usability”. The event was great, and had a great starcast of speakers from across the world.
The event was small compared to other SMX events and was a good kick-off for the Online Marketing industry which so far hasn’t picked-up well in Singapore. This event should spur a slew of opportunities in the local Singapore market.
Personally for me, I got to interact with SEO/PPC experts from across the world, and was a great opportunity to gather what’s new.
I spoke about the value of thinking “Customer” and addressing “Customer Concerns” while doing SEO versus thinking Search Engine. Our conversion oriented methodology ensures that we generate engagement with the customer starting with the search results. I am looking forward to SMX Singapore in 2009, where I would guess we will see a lot more companies and a lot more interest.
